McLean – Richard E. McMann, Sr., 84, of McLean, passed away at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. Burial will be at Funks Grove Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Richard E. McMann was born April 2, 1942, in Buffalo Hart, Illinois, a son of William E. and Angie E. McGrew McMann. He was united in marriage to Diana Pitts. She survives.
Richard is also survived by one son, John (Brandy) McMann; six grandchildren: Justin McMann, Eric Ryan (Paradise) McMann, Alex McMann, Amber (Derri) Kerrick, Brittany McMann, and Erica McMann; five great-grandchildren: Nicole, Finn, A’Legend, Owen, and A’Blessyn; and one brother, Darrell McMann.
He was preceded in death by one son, Richard McMann, Jr., and three brothers: Floyd, Robert, and Tom.
Richard had worked as an Over the Road Truck Driver and in building services at Illinois State University. He was a member of McLean Christian Church and McLean Burger-Benedict American Legion Post #573 having served in the United States Marines.
Memorials in Richard’s memory may be made to Mt. Hope Funks Grove Fire Protection District or McLean Christian Church.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
