Private family services will be held. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
Norma Jean Chere was born on December 17, 1940, in Middletown, the daughter of Norman Russell Chere and Margaret Louise Scholties Chere.
She is survived by two nieces: Kimberly (William) Frizzell and Kelly (Chris) Jones. and great nieces and nephews: Kaitlyn (Scott) Flora, Kendall Frizzell, Kinsey Frizzell, Blake Jones and Luke Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother: Dan Chere, and two sisters: Kaye Chere and Myra Chere.
Norma graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 1958 and St. John’s School of Nursing in 1961. She was employed at the Lincoln Development Center and Logan Correctional Center for many years.
Her hobbies included anything in nature: dogs, cats, birds, flowers and gardening; reading; and putting puzzles together.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Logan County.
