  1. I met Gus and Linda over a car deal (surprise). They came to East Peoria to look at a Thunderbird in the Merlot color which was hard to find. We hit it off right away and traded that day for his bright red Mustang GT Conv. We went on to do much more business together over the years. Both of our Dads were car guys so we shared a lot in common. He loved collecting Ford memorabilia and I would snag things here and there that I thought might interest him. He and Linda were always so fun to sit and talk to. I always thought Linda was such a pretty lady and always dressed up. I knew they were ill but I didn’t know Gus had passed until today when a friend called me to inform me. Rest easy old car guy…
