Lincoln — Justin R. Whitacre, 36, of Lincoln, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at his home.
A Celebration of Justin’s Life will be held at a later date. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
Justin Ryan Whitacre was born on August 20, 1988, in Lincoln, the son of Anthony Lynn Helton and Robin D. Whitacre.
He is survived by his two brothers: Anthony M. Whitacre and Triston Steen; his maternal grandmother: Julienne Kieser, stepfather: Terry Hasley, and close friend Cecelia Ott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandmother Janice Helton, and maternal grandfather Don Whitacre.
Justin graduated from the Lincoln Community High School in 2006. He was employed at the Ferrero Candy Factory in Bloomington.
His hobbies included listening to Rock and Roll and Heavy Metal music. He enjoyed playing video games and watching superhero movies.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
