Joyce A. Rich

McLean — Joyce A. Rich, 74, of McLean, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at her home.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Rich will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta, Illinois, with Ms. Candi Evans officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Waynesville, Illinois.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. also at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home.

Joyce Ann Troyer was born on May 3, 1949, in Normal, Illinois, the daughter of Orville and Henrietta Alexander Troyer. She was united in marriage to Roger Paul Rich on August 11, 1967. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2022.

Surviving are her children: Christy (Joseph Tyner) Rich, Dawn (Michael) Evans, Jeff (Michelle) Rich, and Anthony (Cheryl) Rich; one brother: Ronald (Leigh) Troyer; one sister: Janice (Lonnie) Kerley; thirteen grandchildren: Caden (Lauren Dixon) Rich, Saegen (Tristen) Hall, Brantley (Russell Bryan) Evans, Camber Evans, Reece Evans, Blake Evans, Calib Lewis, Brittany (Will) Wilder, Danielle Rich, Coty (Jackie Fisher) Tyner, Taylor Tyner, Sierra (Vince ) Israel, and Remington Darnell; four great-grandchildren; Goddaughter: Betsy (Jess) Freeman; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and adopted son Justin Kelly.

Joyce graduated from McLean-Waynesville High School in 1967. She was employed at Owens Nursey as an Executive Assistant. Joyce’s hobbies included gardening, art, computer games, crafts, and bargain shopping. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Mt. Hope-Funks Grove Township Fire Department or American Cancer Society.

Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

  2. Joyce was the friendliest person at Owens Nursery when I worked there. She always had a smile on her face. So sorry for your loss.
