Atlanta – Glen A. Horath, 65, of Atlanta, passed away at St. Clara’s Rehab & Senior Care in Lincoln on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
Services for Glen will be held at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta on Monday, June 10, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Johnson officiating. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
Glen Aaron was born May 27, 1959, in Lincoln, the son of Glen Albert and Marilyn Beccue Horath.
Glen is survived by three children: Tiffany (Scotty) Battin Jr., Misty (Jerry) Taylor, and Dallton Aaron (Alice Rose) Horath; three grandchildren: Scotty Battin III, Allyson Battin, and Kamryn Battin; his mother, Marilyn Horath; one brother, Merlin (Michelle) Horath, and one sister, Angie (Clint) Myers.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Glen was a 1977 graduate of Olympia High School. In Vincennes, Indiana, Glen had worked at the Big Blue Store until its closure and in the parts department of Uebelhor & Sons Motors. Glen also had worked at Lehn & Fink in Lincoln. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, canning, and mushroom hunting. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Seattle Seahawks, and classic rock music. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Lincoln and the Bruceville Rod and Gun Club. Glen loved animals of any kind.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Logan County.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
