Earle Allen Cagle was born on October 1, 1959, in Taylorville, Illinois, the son of Lloys Lane and Judith Carmen Williams Cagle. On November 3, 1984, he married the love of his life, Teresa (Terri) Lessen. Together they built a life and raised their family in Edinburg, where they lived until 2018, when they moved to Sherman, to be closer to their beloved granddaughters.

Earle is survived by his devoted wife, Terri, his son: Jeremiah (Christina) Cagle, his daughter: Jillian Cagle and her boyfriend Cody Johnson; and his two cherished granddaughters Emma and Grace. He is also survived by his parents and his brother Douglas (Kim) Cagle, along with several nieces, nephews, and mother-in-law: Andra (Donald Stanfield) Lessen.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, two uncles, father-in-law: Marvin E. Lessen, and brother-in-law Jake Lessen.

Earle graduated from the Edinburg High School in 1978. He was employed at HSHS St. John’s Hospital working in Security, and later as a diesel mechanic for RUSH Trucking.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and watching TV Documentaries. Earle’s granddaughters, Emma and Grace, were the most important part of his life. One of his favorite traditions was promising them that if they worked hard and brought home good grades, he would take them out to lunch and give them $100 each to go shopping — a memory they will always treasure.

Earle will be remembered for his love of family, his generosity, and the joy he found in spending time with the people he loved most. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
