McLean – Donna R. Lynch, 96, of rural McLean, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Luther Oaks Skilled Nursing Home in Bloomington.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. Private family services are pending.
LaDonna R. Tavenner was born in 1927, the daughter of La Rue and Lydia Wilcox Tavenner. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Lynch in McLean in 1947. He preceded her in death in 2000.
Donna is survived by three children: Diane Shelton, Jim (Christy) Lynch, and Deborah Lynch; four grandchildren: Jeffrey (Jill) Lynch, Todd (Carrie) Lynch, Stephanie (Cameron) Tousley, and Sara (Andy) Gregory; six great-grandchildren: Hannah L., Sydney L., Rhett L., Shelby L., Carter L., and Evie Gregory.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Jane Canfield; and two infant brothers.
Donna was a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church, Mclean Legion Auxiliary, and the McLean Young People’s Supper Club (for 72 years); She worked at the DIXIE as a cashier for 25 years. Donna loved flower gardening and pulling weeds. She also enjoyed driving the combine on her farm and mowing her yard.
Memorials may be made to the Ebenezer Methodist Church Building Fund.
Final arrangements are pending with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.

Diane, Jim and Debbie, So sorry to hear about Donna. I think she is the last of a great group family that knew how to have fun and let us kids love the get togethers. Rick and I are still around Heyworth. Let me know if you are going to do a service. It would be nice to see the group and pay our respects.
