Lincoln – Crystal I. Tibbs, 82, of Lincoln, passed away at 11:55 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at The Christian Village.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery with Rev. Narcis Katambe officiating. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
Crystal Irene Bycroft was born August 26, 1940, in Roseville, IL, the daughter of Harold and Pauline Beard Bycroft. She was united in marriage to Thomas W. Tibbs on June 17, 1961. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2008.
Crystal is survived by their son, Brian (Edgar Barens) Tibbs; four siblings: Harry (Konnie) Bycroft, David (Kathy) Bycroft, Penny (Ron) Skaggs, and Steven Bycroft; and two foster siblings: Phyllis (Bob) Lenburg and James (Peggy) Conner.
She was preceded in death by three siblings: Richard Bycroft, Melody Tharpe, and Mary Elizabeth Bycroft.
Crystal worked at Logan-Mason Rehab and was a co-owner of Flowers by Tibbs and Weddings by Crystal. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church of Mt. Pulaski and had served as choir director for Holy Family Church.
Memorials may be made to Holy Family Food Pantry.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home.

There are those of us who were in contact with Aunt Crystal only a couple times a year when she remembered us in birthday cards for not only us but our kids whom she never met. When our Christmas card was just returned to us, we were dismayed to find out about her passing in October. We were also sad that there was no way to contact us to let us know about services back on 10/22.
Please know that we loved our “Envelope” Auntie Crystal. We hope this makes it onward to cousin Brian whom none of us have seen in too long to remember.
