Elkhart — Christine I. McGee, 86, of Elkhart passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at St. Clara’s Rehab and Senior Care Center in Lincoln.
Christine Irene Johnson was born on November 22, 1939, in Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Irene Bagley Johnson.
She is survived by her daughter: Teri (Darren) Parrish; three grandchildren: Adam (Robert) McGee, Isaac McGee and Hanna (Gus) Schmillen; daughter-in-law Theresa McGee; one great-grandson: Mason; close friend and niece: Nancy Krusz; along with several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son: Timothy McGee, three brothers and two sisters.
Christine graduated from the Macomb High School. She retired from the Lincoln Community High School as the director of cafeteria services.
She was member of the Elkhart Christian Church. Her hobbies included woodworking, painting portraits, gardening and her cats.
Memorials may be made to the Elkhart Fire and Rescue Department or the Humane Society of Logan County.
