Atlanta – Artie E. Horath, 67, of Lincoln, formerly of Atlanta, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023, at Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Services for Artie will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. followed by Funeral Services at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Blaum officiating. Cremation Rites will be accorded. Burial at the Atlanta Cemetery will be at a later date.
Artie E. Horath was born June 29, 1956, in Lincoln, the son of Artie J. Horath and Gay Steward Young. He was united in marriage to Brenda Orr on March 12, 1997. She preceded Artie in death on January 19, 2015.
Artie is survived by four children: Artie Jay (Jessica) Horath, Andrea (Joshua) Florey, Chad (Jallisa) Hoffert, and Courtney (Blake) Wakeman; 20 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; his mother, Gay Young; and siblings: Karen (Keith) Crawford, Larry (Tabitha) Jones, Jenny (Ed) Trapp, Paula (Mark) Neuhaus, Shirley (Barney) Potts, and Sherri (Irvin) Figgins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, father, sister Thelma Horath, and daughter Jessie Marsh.
Artie worked for Remington Seeds. He was an avid Cardinals fan, loved his family, and fishing.
