Atlanta — Angela “Angel” J. Baker, 51, of Atlanta, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Atlanta Cemetery with Pastor James Haffener officiating.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Atlanta Christian Church (Gate addition).
Angela J. Welchel was born on February 15, 1972, in Lincoln, the daughter of James E. Welchel and Jean Patton Miller. She was united in marriage to Bevan Andrew Baker on June 11, 1989. He survives.
Also surviving are her children: Dakota (Monica) Baker and John (Jessica) Baker; five grandchildren: Graeson, Landon, Grady, Alyse, and Emma; her father: James E. Welchel; her mother: Jean Miller; and one brother: Christopher (Gina) Welchel.
She was preceded in death by one son: Dallas A. Baker.
Angel attended Olympia High School. She was employed at Johnny’s Buy Sell and Trade in Lincoln. She was a member of the New Life Fellowship Church in Bloomington. Her hobbies included thrifting, garage sales, and creating lasting memories with her family.
Memorials may be made to her family in care of an account at the Atlanta National Bank.
