Armington – S. Diane Tackett, 87, of Armington, passed away at the OSF Richard L. Owens hospice home in Peoria on Friday, April 21, 2023.
Services for Diane will be held at the Atlanta Christian Church on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. immediately followed by funeral services officiated by Mr. Tony Billingsley. Diane will then be taken to her final resting place at Oak View Cemetery in Armington.
S. Diane Davis was born February 21, 1936, in Peoria, the daughter of Cecil Austin and Nina French Davis. She was united in marriage to Joseph R. Tackett on February 12, 1956. He preceded Diane in death on July 2, 2010.
Diane is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Rodger) Sears and Debby (David) Fortner; three grandchildren: Marisa (Nick) Tolbert, Neil (Amy) Troyer, and Joseph (Jennifer) Fortner; and one sister-in-law, Sally Davis. Nine great grandchildren: Kane Davis, Cydni, Micah, Isabel, Kylie, Allison Diane, Lyndon, Joe & Kian.
In addition to her husband, Diane was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil D. Davis.
Diane was a member of the Armington Christian Church. A loving homemaker, she had enjoyed sewing and gardening.
We would like to especially thank OSF Home Hospice, Tiffany Tackett & OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home for the outstanding care they provided for Mom throughout the last year of her life.
