Heyworth — Roy E. Prewitt, Sr., 78, of Heyworth, passed away at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center on Wednesday, December 23, 2021.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. No services are planned at this time.
Roy E. Prewitt was born January 16, 1943, in Litchfield, Kentucky, the son of Lawrence and Helen Mae Cummings Prewitt. He was united in marriage to Glenna Rhodes in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, on September 5, 1975. She survives.
Roy is also survived by four children: Roy E. (Shannon) Prewitt, Jr., Glenn Prewitt, and Gregory (Genie) Prewitt, and Alice Ethridge; 26 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son: Harlan Lee Prewitt; and brothers: Lawrence Prewitt, Jr., Elmer DeWeese, James Furguson, and Tommy Pruitt.
Roy was a painter.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation.
Arrangements were entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
