Atlanta — Mary L. Mattingly, 87, of Atlanta, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at the H & J Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski.
Mary Louise Pharis was born on July 29, 1935, in Illiopolis, the daughter of Owen and May Embry Pharis. She was united in marriage to Eugene W. Mattingly on July 26, 1958, in Atlanta. He survives.
Also surviving are: her son, Eric (Renate Klausen) Mattingly; grandchildren: Jody Stout, Travis Stout, Erica (Molly) Mattingly, Jared (Brandy) Mattingly, Nikol Mattingly, Robert Mattingly, Miranda Mattingly, Lauren Mattingly, Kyle Castille, A.J. Mattingly, and Susie Mattingly; and one great-grandson, Brayden Ribblet.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Alan E. Mattingly; and seven brothers and sisters.
Mary was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mt. Pulaski. She retired from Lehn & Fink in Lincoln. Her hobbies included painting flowers and animals.
