Lincoln — Lloyd P. Gleason, 81, of Lincoln passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2026, at the Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln with Rev. Joseph Dondanville officiating.
Military Rites will be accorded by the Lincoln American Legion Post #263.
A celebration of Lloyd’s life will be held at the Knights of Columbus Council #1250 from 1:00 p.m. Until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday following the graveside service.
Lloyd Paul Gleason was born on March 29,1944 in Lincoln, the son of Lawrence P. and Leona C. Martin Gleason. He was united in marriage to Linda Edwards on September 17, 1966. She survives.
Also surviving are his children: Troy Gleason, Tracey Gleason, and Dana (Marcus) Korssell; and three grandchildren: Amber Oliver, Abbie Oliver and Peyton Gleason.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother: Larry Gleason.
Lloyd graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 1962. He then served in the Illinois National Guard. He worked as a carpenter for many years and also farmed in rural Lincoln.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, American Legion Post #263, Hopedale Riding Club, Carpenters Local Union #273, and was a former member of the Lincoln Masonic Lodge #201.
Lloyd’s hobbies included gardening, antique tractors, and riding his horses. He was an avid Cardinals and Dolphins fan.
Memorials may be made to the Charitable Trust of Lincoln Elks 914, American Legion Post #263, or Central Illinois Veterans Commission.
