Atlanta – Julia “Jackie” J. Twyman, 85, of Atlanta, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at The Christian Village in Lincoln.
Funeral Services for Jackie will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Atlanta United Methodist Church in Atlanta. Rev. Larry Collins will officiate.
Cremation Rites will follow. Burial will be at the Atlanta Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta on Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Julia J. McKown was born April 12, 1937, in Bloomington, the daughter of Jack and Julia Reinmiller McKown.
Jackie is survived by her children: Debbie Davis and Robert (Elizabeth) Twyman; four grandchildren: Amber (Jason) Reynolds, Alyssa (Josh) Smith, Ashley (Joe) Davis and Brock Twyman; five great-grandchildren: Austin Key, Ethan Smith, Addison Davis, Cooper Smith, and Joel Reynolds; two sisters: Linda Orrick and Susan Hoblit; and three brothers: Jim (Jackie) McKown, Rick McKown and Alex Hoblit.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Sam Hoblit; one sister, Diane Hoblit, one sister-in-law, Sharon McKown; and son-in-law, Jim Davis.
Jackie had worked as a silk screener in Auburn for Dickey-John. She was a 1955 graduate of the Atlanta High School and a member of the Atlanta United Methodist Church. Jackie loved cats and dogs, and gardening.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Logan County.
