Lincoln — Lucille M. Steiner, 93, of Morton, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, at St. Clara’s Rehab and Senior Care Center in Lincoln.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln with Rev. Joseph Dondanville officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Burial will follow the service at Hirstein Cemetery in Morton, Illinois.
Lucille Martha Meyer was born on November 20, 1932, in Pekin, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond Himmel and Martha Proehl Meyer. She was united in marriage to James Dean Bowlby on July 16, 1952. She later married Ivan Steiner in 1998. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2017.
She is survived by her children: Fonda Lynn Robbins, Kent (Barbara) Bowlby; two step-children: Jeff (Nancy) Steiner and Melanie (Roger) Geyer; five grandchildren: Travis (Emily) Bowlby, Tera (Thomas) Stopoulos, Reuben Bowlby, Edward (Shelby) Bowlby, John Cameron (Samantha) Robbins; two step-grandchildren: Andrea Warden and Alicia Robbins; and four great-grandchildren: Andrew Bowlby, Grant Bowlby, Dimi Stopoulos, Rosalyn Stopoulos.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother: Ronald Meyer.
Lucille graduated from Manito High School in 1950. She retired from the State of Illinois working in the Commerce and Community Affairs Department. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Lincoln and the Morton United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included sewing.
