Maroa — Leo “Eddie” E. Evans Jr., 65, of Maroa, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at his home.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 4:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. at the Knights of Columbus, 217 Limit Street, Lincoln, Illinois 62656.
Cremation Rites have been accorded.
Leo Edward Evans, Jr. was born June 23, 1960, in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Leo Edward Evans, Sr. and Marilyn Jane Tansky Evans.
He is survived by his children: Amber R. (KK) Fikri and Elijah (Lesley) Evans; two sisters: Melissa Ann (Grant) Lutrell and Kelly (Bobby) Jackson; and four grandchildren: Jessica, Rebecca, Haq, and Kizzy Fikri.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was employed by the City of Decatur for many years. He was a member of the Life Foursquare Church in Decatur.
His hobbies included playing the bass guitar in Midnight Valentine and Bethlehem Jones bands, and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
