Lincoln — William L. “Bill” Weakley, 83, of Lincoln, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021, at Springfield Memorial Medical Center.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Park District Railer Room. CDC Guidelines will be followed.
Cremation Rites have been accorded.
William Lee Weakley was born on December 10, 1938, in Prentice, Illinois, the son of James William and Mildred Bryant Weakley. He first married Sandra Hurley on July 11, 1969. He later married Marcita Rosal on January 27, 1988.
He is survived by his children: Lori Schroth, Jodi (Jim Huddlestun) Weakley, Michael (Amy) Weakley, Vaneza (Matt) Cook, and A.J. (Mindy Malerich) Weakley; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, his faithful companion Oscar T-18, and best friend Darwin “Buck” Westen.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Jeanette Rice, and one brother: James Weakley.
He last worked as a truck driver for Agee Farms.
Bill was a member of the Beason Sportsman’s Club. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. He enjoyed truck driving, traveling, Ice Cold Stag, Lincoln Railer Basketball, and woodworking.
