Graveside Services for Sandra will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Cemetery.
Sandra L. Green was born June 30, 1941, in Lincoln, the daughter of Russell and Wilma Shawgo Green. She was united in marriage to Richard Kitchen in Springfield on August 26, 1968. He preceded Sandy in death February 10, 2013.
Sandy is survived by her children: Gilbert Gresham, Mark (Clara) Gresham, Lisa Shaffer, Michelle (Brian) Geiger, and Shannon (Freddie) Outlaw; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Mary (Wade) Howe and Mary Jane (Roger) Cook.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Patricia James, Wanda Westfall, and Linda Leesman.
She was a homemaker and loved to craft, especially knitting and crocheting. Sandy enjoyed cooking and baking, making homemade fudge and peanut brittle. She loved growing and canning vegetables, and shopping at garage sales and using coupons.
Memorials may be made to Atlanta Rescue Squad.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
