Rosemary “Rosie” R. Boyd

Lincoln – Rosemary “Rosie” R. Boyd, 84, of Lincoln, formerly of Mt. Pulaski, passed away at St. Clara’s Rehab & Senior Care on Sunday, November 3, 2024.

Services for Rosemary will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and a Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Noah Kerstein will officiate. Cremation Rites have been accorded.

Rosemary Roberta Washbond was born June 11, 1940, in Sparta, Wisconsin, the daughter of George and Muriel Baumbach Washbond, Sr.

She is survived by her son, Donald B. (Shari) Boyd, Jr. and granddaughter, Sabra (Dagan) Brucker; four great-grandchildren: Addison, Andi, Arie and Aiden Brucker; two step-sons: Harry Koontz and Archie Koontz; two step-grandchildren: Ashton Koontz and Hailie Koontz; two sisters: Margaret (Victor) Schrishun and Georgia Straight; one brother, George (Sandra) Washbond, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

Rosemary was a member of Faith Lutheran church, the Dorcas Society at church, and a lifetime member for the ALMH Volunteer Services in the gift shop and information booth. She retired from her position as office manager and bookkeeper for Dean Leith Plumbing and Heating in 2010.

Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Logan County or Best Friends Veterinarian Clinic in Lincoln.

Arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln.

  1. My sweet sister, you were a joy to me and I have reminisced over the past few days of the fun and experiences we had from California to Florida and our last days spent together in September. You earned your wings and I heard the bells today!
