Lincoln, IL— Pauline M. Williams, 89, of Lincoln, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Pauline Hickey was born September 16, 1935, in Lincoln, the daughter of Edward and Daisy Higgins Hickey. She graduated from St. Patrick’s Grade School and Lincoln Community High School.Pauline is survived by her sons Jeffrey of Arizona, and Daniel of Lincoln, IL; niece Debbie (Ron) Ackerman and nephew Steven Smith, both of Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gregory Williams; her brother Edward “Eddie” Hickey; sister, Phyllis Smith; and one nephew.
She was employed at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in the registration department for 24 years as a supervisor and then at BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal for 35 years as a facilitator.
In addition to her love and devotion to her immediate family, Pauline treasured her former work family and their friendship as well. Pauline had a fun and ornery sense of humor, played tennis in her younger days and liked to do crossword puzzles and search words.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 14, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Lincoln. Cremation Rites have been accorded and the Rite of Committal and Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln.

I was very sorry to learn of Pauline’s passing. My mother, Allison worked with Pauline at ALMH for 20+ years. You have my thoughts and prayers at this time.
