New Holland — Marold Lohrenz, 88, passed away on January 24, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
*** Funeral services for Marold Lohrenz will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 (delayed from February 17, 2025), at 11:00 a.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home with Rev. Dawn Beavan officiating. ***
Visitation will be held from 10: 00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Richmond Grove Cemetery in rural New Holland.
Marold Lohrenz was born on April 25, 1936, in Lincoln, Illinois, the son of Herman John Lohrenz and Anna Hanekamp Lohrenz.
Marold married the love of his life, Patty Snyder on June 17, 1956, in New Holland, Illinois. He received his master’s degree from the University of Illinois and went on to become Vice President of Engineering of Telex.
When Marold wasn’t working, he enjoyed trips to Branson, Missouri and being outdoors. He loved going to the lake, fishing, camping, raising horses and cows and showing dogs. He served as President of the Oklahoma Palomino Association for several years. Later in life, he was an N-scale train enthusiast, a woodworker and spending time with his family was the most important thing. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Marold is survived by children: Tim Lohrenz and wife Ellie Chiampa, and Debbie Hayes and husband Don; grandchildren: Lindsey Lohrenz, Kevin Hayes and wife Andrea, Valarie Williams and husband Eric; great-grandchildren: Lucas Hayes, Ryker Williams, Logan Hayes, Kiera Williams, Liesl Hayes, and Laney Hayes.
He was preceded in death by: Parents: Herman and Anna Lohrenz, wife: Patty Lohrenz, son: Mike Lohrenz, and grandson: Justin Lohrenz.
