Faye Gresham

January 29, 1946 – October 21, 2022

Atlanta — Faye Gresham, 94, of Atlanta, passed away early in the morning on October 21, 2022, at her home.

Funeral services for Faye will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Atlanta Christian Church with visitation before the service from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Her three grandsons will officiate. Burial will follow at the Atlanta Cemetery.

Eudena Faye Boward was born in Middletown to Carl and Lucille Prince Boward on January 4, 1928. She married Delbert Gresham on January 29, 1946, in Lincoln. He preceded her in death.

Surviving family include a daughter, Debbie (Alan) Siltman of Atlanta; grandsons Michael (Tonya) of Middletown, Brian (Deb) of Atlanta, and Shaun (Crystal) of Mt. Pulaski; 12 great-grandchildren:

Brady (Ashley), Whitney, Shawn (Danielle), Alexis, Elijah (Morgan), Katelyn (Matt), Izzy, Supitcha, Ana, Henry, Julius and Andre; and four great-great-grandchildren: Gavin, Bella, Mason and Raelynn.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband in 2014; one daughter, Judith Charron in 2015; and by siblings Carl Vincent, Clyde, Harry, Loren and Cecil. She was the last living member of her family.

She enjoyed quilting, reading, and crossword puzzles. She very much enjoyed her employment of 30 years in the OB department of Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, from which she retired in 1988. After hospital retirement she worked in home health care. Most of all she loved her family and all the get-togethers. She was a longtime member of Atlanta Christian Church.

Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Rescue Squad, Atlanta Christian Church or the donor’s choice.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
