Boulder, CO — Derek Paul Henrichsmeyer, 40, of Boulder, Colorado, passed away on October 9, 2022.
A Celebration of Derek’s life will be held on Friday, November 25th, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home. Later in the evening, we will toast his life at The Spirited Republic.
Derek is survived by his father, Gary Henrichsmeyer and mother, Susan Vickers; one brother, David Henrichsmeyer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Janet Henrichsmeyer and Lysle and Marcy Willey.
Derek was born on March 29, 1982, in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated high school in Port Charlotte, Florida in 2000. He was a Plumber / HVAC Tech by trade. He was also quite adept at refurbishing older BMWs in his spare time. Derek loved drawing, the outdoors, and famed author, Jack Kerouac. Never did he miss out on a chance for adventure — from hiking and kayaking to rock climbing and road trips. His smile melted hearts and his passion to learn new things always burned bright. Derek left us all too soon and will be dearly missed.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln.
