Angie graduated from the Lincoln Community High School in June 1999, Lincoln College, June 2001, and University of Illinois Springfield, June 2003. Her major in college was Communications and Minor in Criminal Justice. She was employed at Arch Coal in Elkhart as Mine Monitor Technician.
Angela had many interests in life. Her family and friends were very important to her and very precious. She was very fierce and protective of them. She loved to spend time with her son and her granddaughters.
She always helped a friend in need and had a giving heart when it came to her family and friends. She was very “rich” in friends and had many friends. She was still very close with her high school friends.
Angie was active in Brownies and Girl Scouts. She was a very smart student, usually an “A” average in school. She was on the speech team, and she also played volleyball and basketball at LJHS.
She loved writing and wrote articles for the school newspaper at LJHS and as an adult wrote articles for the Carpenter’s Union in Springfield for their magazine.
She was an avid pool player at the Glass House Pool Team and went to Las Vegas to compete.
She attended her son’s saxophone concerts at Olympia and encouraged him to get a music scholarship.
Angie enjoyed camping, swimming cookouts, birthday parties with slip n slides when young, riding her bicycle with friends and was always outside enjoying summer with her friends.
She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and was confirmed when she was young and a firm believer in God.
Angie also liked reading books and playing board games with her friends. One of her favorites was “Password.”
She loved life and was a free spirit. She was passionate about her family and friends and very protective with a giving heart. Although, very, very outspoken and direct she was known to tell you what you needed to hear, not always what you wanted to hear advice wise.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or for Educational Fund for her granddaughters Ava Kindred and Dakota Kindred at CEFCU.
